This region is located about 4-5 hours northeast of Vancouver past the coastal mountain range and before the Rockies. It is a dry climate with several large warm lakes and world class wineries. In the winter there are a handful of ski resorts to choose from. In the summer people flock to the lakes for water-sport activities and visit the area year-round to tour the world class vineyards while sampling and collecting fabulous BC wines.
