Day 1 - Vancouver Arrival
When you arrive in this beautiful city, take some time to see its’ amazing sights including Stanley Park, Gastown, the Capilano Suspension Bridge and the fantastic gondola ride to the top of Grouse Mountain.

Day 2 - Whistler Mountaineer™ - Vancouver to Whistler
This morning you will be transferred from you Vancouver hotel to the Whistler Mountaineer™ for a 2-hour ride to the alpine resort city of Whistler, co-host for the 2010 Winter Olympics and one of North America’s top ski resorts. The train takes you on a breathtaking journey along the fjord-like shores of Howe Sound, through the scenic community of Squamish and through the rugged Cheakamus Canyon. The ski-hills on the twin peaks of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains signal your arrival in this world-class resort. You will be transferred to your hotel after which you have the rest of the day to leisurely explore the shops, sights and attractions of Whistler.

Day 3 - Free Day in Whistler
You have a full day to enjoy this fabulous resort town. Enjoy the shops, galleries and restaurants of take some time to participate in some of the soft-adventure opportunities like river rafting, mountain biking, ATV touring, bear watching, mountain climbing or an exhilarating tree-tip ride on the Zip Trek.

Day 4 - Rocky Mountaineer® - Whistler to Quesnel
This morning board the Rocky Mountaineer® and begin and incredible trip that will take you through some of the most remote and scenic landscape in North America. From Whistler the train travels through the lush farmlands of the Pemberton Valley and then follows shores of glacier-fed Seton and Anderson Lakes. Later in the day the train slowly climbs out of the desert-like terrain of the Fraser Canyon, and travels across the Caribou Plateau with its rolling grasslands and vast cattle ranches. Late in the afternoon the Rocky Mountaineer follows the banks of the mighty Fraser River into Quesnel, famous in the day of the Caribou Gold Rush and your resting spot for the night.

Day 5 - Rocky Mountaineer® - Quesnel to Jasper
Leaving Quesnel, the Rocky Mountaineer® continues along the path of the Fraser River, following the route taken by the fur traders over 200years ago. You will pass through vast forests on your way through the Rocky Mountain trench that runs parallel to the Rocky Mountains for over 900 miles. Soon the towering peak of Mt Robson, the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies comes into view. The train winds its way along the banks of Moose Lake and soon enters into Jasper National Park and the province of Alberta. As the end of the day approaches you will be greeted by the stunning peaks of Mt Edith Cavell and the rushing waters of the Athabasca River as the train arrives in the beautiful resort town of Jasper

Day 6 Jasper to Lake Louise
Today enjoy the sights of one of the most scenic highways in the world as your travel to Lake Louise along the Icefields Parkway. After stopping at the Athabasca Falls you will continue to the summit pass and the massive Columbia Icefield. Ride on the exciting Icefield Explorer, a massive snocoach that will take you to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. After lunch at the Icefield Chalet (not included) your journey will take you through the Sunwapta River valley. Glaciers, azure blue lakes, spectacular mountains and raging rives surround you. After a stop at picturesque Bow Lake your journey for the day will end at magnificent Lake Louise, “Gem of the Rockies”.
Note: Expected operating dates of the Ice Explorer is April 15 – October 15. If the Ice Explorer is not operating it will be replaced with lunch at Simpson’s Num-Ti-Jah Lodge

Day 7 - Lake Louise to Banff
A wonderful half-day of touring waits you as your travel into Yoho National Park. The Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and the natural rock bridge of the Kicking Horse River are among the many sights. Before you leave the Chateau Lake Louise you will be treated to a one-hour guided lakeshore stroll (Note: you will be required to vacate your room by 11:00 am) This afternoon enjoy s short trip along the beautiful Bow River to the resort town of Banff. The afternoon is free to enjoy this famous Alpine retreat.

You may wish to replace the Yoho Park Tour and guided Lakeshore stroll with a Glacier Helicopter Tour with Ranch Lunch. A $219 CDN per person price supplement will apply.
Glacier Helicopter Tour with Ranch Lunch – Enjoy a 25-minute helicopter flight above the six glaciers of Mount Resolute, Mount Cline and the Whitegoat Peaks. You will also view a 270-metre (900-foot) waterfall, see some spectacular aqua-green high-alpine lakes and cross over a 2,700-metre (9,000-foot) mountain pass. A visit to a local ranch will provide ample time to discover the walking trails on-site and enjoy lunch at your leisure.

Day 8 - Banff Tour including Sulphur Mountain Gondola
A wonderful 3-hour tour of Banff awaits you this morning. The tour includes many of the highlights of Banff including the Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner, the Hoodoos and a gondola ride to the top of 7500 for Sulphur Mountain. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the shops, museums and attractions of Banff

Day 9 - Rocky Mountaineer® - Banff to Kamloops
Today you travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer® from Banff to the interior city of Kamloops in British Columbia. This is an incredible day of scenic wonders. Traveling west along the tracks of the Canadian Pacific Railroad the train travels through the Kicking Horse and Rogers Passes, through the famous Spiral Tunnels in Yoho National Park and slows to honour the driving of the last spike of the Trans Continental railway at Craigellachie. Later in the afternoon you will glide through the ranch lands of the interior and along the shorelines of the Shuswap Lakes on your way to the bustling city of Kamloops.

Day 10 - Rocky Mountaineer® - Kamloops to Vancouver
This is a day of dramatic contrasts as you continue to make your way to the Pacific Ocean. Passing along the shores of Kamloops Lake, the train leaves the desert-like environment of the interior behind and plunges down the rugged canyons of the Thompson and Fraser Rivers. Watch for the bright coloured river rafts as they charge recklessly down the rapids and through the foaming waters of Hells Gate. The rugged canyons give way to the snow-capped peaks of the Cascade and Coastal mountains. Soon you are traveling through the lush fields of the Fraser Valley on your final journey to the beautiful coastal city of Vancouver.
