4 DAY ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrive in Campbell River
Today you will fly from Vancouver South Terminal to Campbell River. Upon arrival at the Campbell River Airport, you will be transferred to hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore Campbell River, nestled on the east coast of central Vancouver Island, and long known as the Salmon Capital of the World. Experience BC's Heritage Rivers by rafting on Campbell River, go snorkeling with the Salmon, or stroll the seaside walk which offers sweeping vistas of Discovery Passage and BC's mainland mountain range.

Overnight Heron's Landing (or similar)

Day 2 - Arrival at Knight Inlet Lodge
In the early morning you will transfer to the floatplane docks for your flight to Knight Inlet Lodge. After your flight from Campbell River to Knight Inlet Lodge, you will have a welcome orientation on bear viewing followed by lunch. Mid afternoon you venture out for your first boat cruise of Knight Inlet. You have your choice of many activities available at the lodge from Grizzly Bear viewing to nature walks & scenic cruises. Early evening you return to the lodge for dinner and interpretive programs.

Other Activities available at Knight Inlet (availability depends on length of stay & time of year):

• Excursions to see the grizzly bears from the platforms or boats (depending on the season)
• Excursions for Bald Eagle viewing and other bird life
• Excursions to the Upper reaches of Knight Inlet for scenic viewing of the inlet
• Scenic cruise of Knight Inlet (weather permitting)
• Jet boat tours of the Klinaklini River - subject to water levels in the river
• Wildlife Tracking to make plaster casts of animal prints
• Interpretive Rainforest walk in the Kwalate Valley
• Use of Kayaks on organized estuary tours

Day 3 - Knight Inlet Grizzly Bear Viewing
Days on longer packages will be spent participating in the many activities available at Knight Inlet Lodge.

Day 4 - Departure for Campbell
After breakfast, depart by floatplane to Campbell River. You will then transfer directly to the Campbell River Airport in time for your return flight back to Vancouver.
